Position Overview

Peraton is seeking an experienced Acoustic Program Manager to oversee our portfolio of U.S. Navy Acoustics initiatives. This role is pivotal in ensuring the successful execution of programs that focus on advanced acoustic technologies.

Key Responsibilities

The selected candidate will:
  • Lead program management efforts for Peraton's U.S. Navy Acoustics projects.
  • Collaborate directly with Government Program Managers, Engineers, and Leadership across various Navy sectors.
  • Ensure the delivery of technical excellence in Acoustics, Sonar Systems, and related areas.
  • Drive revenue growth and foster new business opportunities within the Navy.
  • Recruit and mentor team members, guiding task leads and engineers in their roles.
  • Monitor project funding and expenditures, ensuring alignment with program goals.
  • Develop technical strategies and methodologies to address complex acoustic challenges faced by our clients.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physical Sciences, Computer Science, or related STEM fields (Master's preferred).
  • A minimum of 12 years of experience managing technical programs for the Navy.
  • Experience in Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) and sonar development.
  • Strong system integration skills.

Additional Experience
  • Expertise in planning, programming, and budgeting for multi-year projects.
  • Proficiency in developing Plans of Action & Milestones (POA&M) and financial monitoring.
  • Experience with Earned Value Management and long-range technology development.
  • Active DOD Secret Clearance is required.

Preferred Qualifications
  • IAM II certification.
  • Experience with acoustic recording systems and advanced sonar technologies.
  • Involvement in Ship signature Research, Development, Test, and Evaluation (RDT&E) projects.
