Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Mold/Tool Maker to join our team at ITW Deltar Fasteners. As a key member of our Toolroom, you will be responsible for constructing, altering, and repairing molds of a complex, intricate, and precise nature.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work from complicated drawings, handbook formulas, and instructions to create molds and dies of extreme complexity.
  • Operate various toolroom equipment, including EDM, and improvise when necessary due to equipment limitations.
  • Read and interpret complicated drawings, working to extremely close tolerances, and manufacture all types of special tools and electrodes.
  • Build and repair molds from piece part prints, utilizing precision measuring instruments, hand tools, and machine shop equipment.
  • Program CNC equipment and troubleshoot, maintain, and repair hot runner tooling.
  • Complete proper documentation as required and perform other tasks and duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • 2-year Associate degree in Machine Tool or equivalent.
  • 3-5 years' experience in injection molding and tooling field.
  • Experience and understanding of Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software, preferred.
  • Attention to detail, strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, excellent organization and human relations skills, and excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. and work with little supervision.
