Position Overview:
The Pallet Builder/Reman is tasked with the assembly and refurbishment of wooden pallets utilizing hand tools and nail guns.
Key Responsibilities:
- Regularly lift wooden pallets weighing approximately 50 lbs.
- Operate effectively in a physically demanding environment, which may include exposure to various weather conditions.
- Completion of a drug screening is required as part of the hiring process, in compliance with local and state regulations.
- Candidates with backgrounds in lumber, warehousing, construction, carpentry, landscaping, roofing, welding, or logistics are highly encouraged to apply.
- Exhibit quick manual dexterity, meticulous attention to detail, and a strong commitment to quality standards.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations.
- Communicate effectively with team members.
- Availability to work overtime as necessary.
Work Environment:
The characteristics of the work environment are indicative of what employees may encounter while fulfilling the essential duties of this role. Reasonable accommodations may be provided to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
- Ability to work in extreme conditions, including heat, cold, and airborne particulates.
- Frequently lift weights of 50-75 pounds and adjust body position to bend, stoop, walk, turn, pivot, and stand for extended periods.
- Regularly required to sit, talk, hear, walk, and use hands for handling, feeling, and reaching.
- Noise levels in the work environment may vary based on location.
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is mandatory, including eye protection, ear protection at certain sites, and safety footwear.
- Specific vision capabilities required include close vision, distance vision, and color vision.
- A good sense of balance and coordination is essential.
