Position: Cardiovascular Operating Room Technician
Experience Required: A minimum of 2 years of experience in a CVOR setting is essential.
Facility Details:
- Bed Capacity: 492
- Unit Beds: 15
- Trauma Level: Level II
- NICU Level: Level III
- Stroke Center: Primary Stroke Center
Patient Demographics:
- Primarily Orthopedic cases with minimal pediatric involvement.
Patient Care Ratios:
- 1:1 patient care ratio.
Essential Skills:
- Trauma Experience: Strong background required (excluding burn cases).
- Neurosurgery: Required experience.
- General, Vascular, ENT, Orthopedic spine, Gynecology, Urology, Robotics (General and Neuro), Plastics, Breasts, Eyes.
- Robotic Surgery: Strong experience with Robotic Mazor/DaVinci XI is preferred.
- Open Heart Surgery: Required experience if applicable; general OR techs are not required to have CVOR experience.
Certifications:
- Certification is preferred but not mandatory.
Technology Utilized:
- Electronic Medical Records: Cerner
- IV Pumps: Plum 360
- Medication Dispensing System: Omnicell
- Monitoring Equipment: Spacelabs
Floating Requirements:
- No floating to other units is required.
Orientation Process:
- 2 weeks of orientation on day shift with buddy call expected.
Scheduling Information:
- Weekend Rotation: On-call duties.
- On-Call Schedule: One day a week from 3 PM to 7 AM, and one weekend a month from Friday 3 PM to Monday 7 AM (excluding Open Heart service line).
