Job Summary:
eTeam Inc is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in a Med Surg/Tele unit in Rome, NY. As a Med Surg/Tele RN, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to patients with various medical conditions.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care to patients with medical and surgical conditions
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes to physicians
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes
Requirements:
- Current RN license in the state of New York
- At least two years of experience in a Med Surg/Tele unit
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Ability to read Tele Strips and work with cardiac drips
- Strong IV skills and wound care experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Travel experience in a Med Surg/Tele unit
- National Institutes of Health (NIH) stroke certification
- 8 hours of Continuing Education Units (CEUs)
Unit Details:
The Med Surg/Tele unit is a 27-bed unit with a nurse-patient ratio of 7:1. The unit uses ClientKesson and Paragon systems. The ideal candidate will have strong IV skills, experience working with cardiac drips, and the ability to read EKG strips.
