Job Summary:

This is a 13-week travel nursing job with a 36-hour workweek, requiring a strong background in Med Surg nursing. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in the field, with a focus on Med Surg care. The nurse will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, working collaboratively with the healthcare team, and maintaining accurate records.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care to Med Surg patients, including administering medications, performing wound care, and monitoring vital signs.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients, identifying potential health risks and developing strategies to mitigate them.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medication administration records and progress notes.
Requirements:
  • Current RN license in the state of New York.
  • At least 2 years of experience in Med Surg nursing.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
  • Strong IV skills and experience with cardiac drips, EKG strips, and wound care.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a healthcare team.
