Job Overview
PacifiCorp is seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist to join our T&D Operations team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for providing technical support on complex and business-critical projects related to wildfire mitigation, asset performance, and electric operations across six states.

About the Role
You will leverage large data sets to inform long-term risk analysis and aid in decision-making. You will work alongside senior leadership to develop tools and analysis that inform data-driven decisions. Your strong customer service focus will ensure that you provide exceptional support to multiple departments.

Your Responsibilities
- Conduct research studies and technical analyses to support company objectives, including wildfire risk modeling and analysis, electric service reliability analysis, and ad-hoc projects in support of electric operations program teams.
- Support data science projects over their life cycle, including project identification, scope development, implementation, and long-term operations and maintenance.
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, and regulatory teams to analyze complex problems, identify issues, innovate, and deliver solutions consistent with established schedules.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Analytics, Statistics, Math, or Engineering from an accredited college/university.
- A minimum of 3 years' experience in a power/utility/energy industry or related professional experience.
- Demonstrated experience in Python (or related language) and knowledge of SQL query construction and optimization.
- Technical writing skills and ability to communicate complex data in a simple, actionable way through visualizations.
- Ability to review scientific literature and incorporate knowledge into ongoing projects.
- Demonstrated project management skills and knowledge of industry best practices for data science and data governance.

Benefits
- Estimated Salary: $87,600 - $103,100 per year

- Eligible for an annual discretionary performance incentive bonus of up to 12.00% of salary
