At Cherry Creek Schools, we are seeking a highly skilled Traffic Controller to join our team. This is a rewarding opportunity for individuals who are passionate about ensuring the safety of students and staff.
About the Role:
The Traffic Controller will be responsible for directing vehicular and pedestrian traffic at schools and other designated areas. This includes guiding pedestrians across streets, monitoring traffic flow, and communicating traffic rules to students and adults.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct or escort pedestrians across streets, stopping traffic as necessary.
- Monitor traffic flow to locate safe gaps through which pedestrians can cross streets.
- Communicate traffic and crossing rules and other information to students and adults.
Requirements:
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Must meet all Colorado Department of Transportation minimum qualifications, including good physical condition, mental alertness, and ability to communicate effectively.
Salary: $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience.
