Additionally, the Referral Coordinator will be responsible for teaching nursing associates and physicians about changes in insurance plans and referral processes.

Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the referral process for a 35-physician practice, ensuring timely and accurate processing of referrals.
- Research and resolve problem referral claims or requests for payment, ensuring accurate coding and diagnosis for proper referral and coverage by insurance companies.
- Develop and maintain knowledge of various insurance plans and coverages to ensure proper payment.

Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.

- Medical assistant certification from an approved technical school preferred.
