About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Anesthesia Technician to join our team at Tufts Medicine. As a key member of our surgical support team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our operating rooms.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Equipment Maintenance and Management: Ensure that all anesthesia equipment is properly cleaned, maintained, and calibrated to ensure optimal performance.
  2. Supply Chain Management: Order and manage inventory of anesthesia supplies, including medications and equipment.
  3. Patient Care Support: Assist anesthesiologists and nursing staff with direct patient care duties, including patient transfers, equipment preparation, and invasive monitor placement.
  4. Quality Assurance: Conduct regular checks of emergency carts and anesthesia carts to ensure that they are fully stocked and ready for use.
  5. Inventory Management: Conduct weekly inventory checks to maintain optimal levels of supplies and equipment.
  6. Clinical Support: Participate in infection control efforts by cleaning and maintaining anesthesia equipment and performing housekeeping duties to keep the anesthesia workroom clean and organized.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • CPR Certification
  • One Year of Related Experience in Surgical Services, Operating Room, or PACU
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate's Degree
  • Emergency Medical Technician Certification
