About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled SUE Technician to join our dynamic survey team in Raleigh, North Carolina. As a key member of our Geomatics team, you will assist the assigned SUE Coordinator in the daily operations of designating and locating sub-surface utilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate, place, and connect remote signal generators to subject utilities; load and unload equipment; place and remove traffic control signs and devices; assist in the removal and replacement of utility manhole covers; assist in field sketch preparation and measurement of designated utility lines.
  • Designate a variety of underground utilities using various electromagnetic equipment, GPR (ground penetrating radar), GPR, utility maps, and plans.
  • Assist in digging test holes using vacuum excavation.
  • Provide all information and effort under the SUE Coordinator's direct supervision.
Requirements
  • Local work available, but occasional travel required.
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record.
  • Prior to employment, successful passing of a pre-employment drug screen.
  • Experience with GPR and Land Surveying equipment a plus.
Education and Experience
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 1 year of SUE experience preferred.
