Behavioral Health Float Pool Registered Nurse

SSM Health is seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Behavioral Health Float Pool team. As a member of our team, you will provide high-quality patient care, work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams, and contribute to the development of individualized treatment plans.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough admitting and shift assessments on assigned patients, including behavioral evaluations, and accurately document in the Electronic Health Record.
- Utilize critical thinking skills and judgment to analyze patient assessment data and notify physicians of changes in condition.
- Participate in the development, review, and evaluation of multidisciplinary treatment plans.
- Document all nursing care given and adhere to nursing standards and ministry policies and procedures.
- Consistently and accurately implement and record physicians' orders.
- Assess and monitor patients and environment for safety within the unit.
- Serve as a clinical resource and supervise care delivered by Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) and technicians.
- Educate patients and families based on assessed needs and document education provided in the Electronic Health Record.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing or education equivalency for licensing.
- No experience required.
- Constant use of speech to share information through oral communication.
- Constant standing and walking.
- Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs.
- Frequent sitting, reaching, and keyboard use/data entry.
- Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (BLS HCP) - American Heart Association (AHA).
- Registered Professional Nurse (RN) - State of Work Location.
