We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Radiologic Technologist to join our team at Wellstar Health System, Inc. As a key member of our Imaging Services department, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our radiology department, ensuring that all imaging procedures are performed efficiently and effectively.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement departmental policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Supervise and mentor a team of radiologic technologists, providing guidance and support to ensure they are equipped to perform their duties to the highest standard.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure that imaging procedures are performed safely and effectively.
- Monitor and maintain the quality of imaging procedures, ensuring that all images are of high quality and meet the required standards.
- Develop and implement quality control and quality assurance programs to ensure that imaging procedures are performed consistently and accurately.
- Manage departmental budgets and resources, ensuring that all expenses are accounted for and that the department is operating within budget.
- Develop and implement training programs for radiologic technologists, ensuring that they are equipped to perform their duties to the highest standard.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure that imaging procedures are integrated into the overall healthcare plan.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures for patient care and safety, ensuring that all patients receive high-quality care.
- Graduate of an AMA-approved school of radiologic technology.
- Registered Medical Sonographer or Certified MRI Technologist or ARRT Computed Tomography or ARRT Mammography or ARRT Magnetic Resonance Imaging or ARRT Nuclear Technology or ARRT Sonography or Cert Nuclear Med Tech.
- Basic Life Support or BLS - Instructor.
- Three (3) years experience in modality required and one (1) year supervisory experience preferred.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- BS degree in Health Sciences or related field.
- Experience in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Ability to develop and implement policies and procedures.
- Ability to train and mentor staff.
- Ability to manage budgets and resources.
