As a key contributor to the Philips North America MRI Clinical Science team, the Lead MRI Clinical Research Scientist will work closely with medical professionals and physicists from prominent academic institutions, concentrating on the exploration, innovation, and assessment of novel medical applications for Magnetic Resonance Imaging.
Your responsibilities:
The Lead Clinical Scientist will oversee, implement, and facilitate research and advanced clinical applications for the Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) product line at leading sites across North America.Serve as the primary MRI authority in a designated technical or clinical application domain, establish connections within the scientific community, and provide insights and recommendations regarding emerging technologies within the MR Business Unit.
Initiate and drive collaborative clinical projects at selected sites to foster the exchange of ideas, develop research prototypes, solutions, and intellectual property for product innovation, and generate evidence to substantiate claims through scientific publications.
Be actively involved in hands-on operations, independently managing Philips MR scanners, conducting volunteer and patient scans, and guiding users on the capabilities and development tools of Philips scanners.
Enhance the visibility of the Philips MR program by delivering lectures and presentations at international scientific or professional conferences, as well as participating in professional organizations.
Facilitate specialized training sessions on research tools and clinical capabilities.
Provide expert guidance during the sales process to key customers through extensive MR and clinical knowledge.
Reporting to the Clinical Science Leader MR for North America, you will collaborate with various teams in the market and the global Business Unit, including Global Clinical Science, Marketing, Clinical Affairs, Legal, Sales, and other global leaders within the organization.

role may involve travel up to 10%.
You're an ideal candidate if:
You possess a minimum of a Ph.D. (Required) in physics, chemistry, biomedical engineering, or related fields.
You have gained 1+ years of professional experience post-degree, which is preferred.
Your expertise includes technical proficiency in MRI and clinical imaging, development and advanced application of MR systems in clinical environments, and the capability to conduct research and establish research studies.
Experience in MR Pulse Programming is highly desirable.
Familiarity with data reconstruction or AI knowledge is an advantage.
You exhibit excellent communication, teaching, and presentation abilities.
You are an independent problem solver with strong analytical and experimental skills.
You have demonstrated experience in engaging with customers, market colleagues, and other internal stakeholders.
You must be capable of fulfilling the minimum Physical, Cognitive, and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this position.

Philips Transparency Details:
The pay range for this position is $122,000 to $209,000, annually.
The actual base pay offered may vary depending on multiple factors including, job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.
