MassMutual is seeking an experienced Investment Portfolio Specialist to join its team. This role plays a critical part in overseeing the company's investment portfolios, worth nearly $30 billion.
This position involves working closely with investment managers, BOLI producers, stable value providers, and key clients to ensure effective communication and portfolio performance. The specialist will be responsible for monitoring investment manager performance, communicating investment strategy and performance to stakeholders, and participating in sales opportunities by explaining available investment line-ups and contractual terms.
The successful candidate will serve as the subject matter expert and primary contact person for all investment-related matters pertaining to MassMutual's BOLI/COLI business line. Key responsibilities include:
- Researching and preparing presentation materials for presentations to groups and one-on-one meetings
- Direct responsibility for relationships with external investment management firm relationships, with approximately a dozen different firms
- Answering broker and client questions regarding the General Account, interest rates, and economic events' impact on MassMutual
- Responsible for investment reporting/analysis aspects of $5 billion in assets of BOLI separate account and hybrid accounts for clients
To excel in this role, the ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of full-range investment asset classes and experience articulating investment approach and philosophy. Relevant experience managing relationships with external investment managers and/or vendors, as well as proficiency in reviewing and analyzing both written and numerical materials, is essential.
