As a Recreational Therapist, you will play a vital role in helping patients recover from various medical conditions, including brain injury, spinal cord injury, stroke, amputation, neurological disorders, and orthopedic conditions.
Responsibilities:- Plan and implement recreational activities for patients, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Develop and lead group and individual therapies, including leisure activities, social programs, and divergent programs.
- Assess patient recreational needs and develop therapeutic programs to meet those needs.
- Communicate with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care.
- Participate in patient discharge planning and provide education on community resources.
- Baccalaureate degree in Therapeutic Recreation required.
- Current national certification from NCTRC as a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) or eligible to take exam required.
