Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled individual with extensive experience in human research studies, capable of training research personnel on the coordination and management of clinical trials.
Key Responsibilities:
This role serves as a working leadership position within the Institute for Stroke and Cerebrovascular Disease. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of research compliance, have experience conducting audits for clinical trial studies, and be adept at leading internal audits.
The candidate will oversee a team of 8 research staff, managing their daily activities and ensuring adherence to protocols.
Essential Duties:
- Assist in the development of research protocols.
- Supervise a program for peer-reviewed pilot studies.
- Manage and train staff on site development, human subject enrollment, and clinical trial monitoring.
This position requires the management of multiple studies, with an expectation to familiarize oneself with the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for each study.
Qualifications:
This is not a research administrator role focused on pre/post-award activities; however, experience with grant applications, particularly for clinical trials and multi-component grants, is highly beneficial. Strong confidence, excellent presentation skills, and effective collaborative abilities are essential for success in this position.
