About the Role

Gowan Company is seeking a highly skilled Formulation Chemist to join our formulation development team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for defining, innovating, developing, and scaling up formulations associated with new and existing crop protection products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop experimental formulations for crop protection products
  • Use knowledge of physical and chemical test methods to identify lead formulas
  • Evaluate results and suggest direction for further development and improvements
  • Actively participate in the identification and development of novel formulation development methods and technologies
Requirements
  • Masters or Bachelors degree in Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, or related fields
  • Minimum 5 years of chemical formulation experience in preparing formulations for agriculture, cosmetics, pharmaceutical, cleaners, or food, or personal care industries
  • Hands-on experience with multi-phase mixtures (dispersions, emulsions, etc.) with various formulation production or analytical equipment
  • Ability to work in a team environment and prioritize time and tasks
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft office applications
