Dental Care Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Dental Care Specialist to join our team at NaphCare, a leading provider of quality healthcare in the correctional industry.
The ideal candidate will have a current unrestricted license as a dentist in Arizona, current DEA registration, and valid CPR card. A minimum of 2-3 years' experience in general practice residency is also required.
As a Dental Care Specialist, you will be responsible for maintaining overall dental care responsibility for the management of dental services to each patient. This includes performing all dental assessments, radiographic exams, and dental treatment, to include emergency treatment such as oral surgery, restorative dentistry and periodontal therapy within the scope of general dentistry.
We offer a competitive pay rate of $81.00-$110.00 per hour, based on employment status, shift, specific facility, site needs, licensure, and experience. Responsibilities:
- Maintain overall dental care responsibility for the management of dental services to each patient
- Perform all dental assessments, radiographic exams, and dental treatment, to include emergency treatment such as oral surgery, restorative dentistry and periodontal therapy within the scope of general dentistry
- Formulate a working diagnosis, develop and implement a treatment plan and evaluate/modify therapeutic regimens to promote positive patient outcomes
- Evaluate all patients returning from offsite dental visits
- Participate in training and orientation of healthcare staff
- Provide oral hygiene education and discharge instructions to all patients seen
- Supervise and coach dental assistant
- Ensure sterilization and disinfection of equipment
Qualifications:
- Must hold a current unrestricted license as a dentist in Arizona
- Current DEA registration
- Valid CPR card
- Minimum of 2-3 years' experience in general practice residency
