Job Summary

ABM Industries is seeking a skilled Commercial HVAC Service Technician to join our team. As a Commercial HVAC Service Technician, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, calibrating, and adjusting various HVAC systems and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical faults in HVAC systems
  • Install, maintain, and repair ventilation and air conditioning systems and equipment
  • Identify maintenance risks on equipment and perform routine maintenance tasks
  • Diagnose and repair issues with HVAC systems, including thermostats, burners, transformers, and controls
  • Clean, adjust, and repair systems, and perform warranty services
  • Provide technical direction and on-the-job training to junior technicians
  • Keep daily logs and records of all maintenance functions
  • Ensure compliance with appliance standards and with Occupational Health and Safety Act
  • Comply with service standards, work instructions, and customers' requirements
  • Assist with customer inquiries and complete other duties as assigned
Requirements
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Must possess a valid, unexpired driver's license and be able to pass a background check, drug screening, and MVR check
  • Must possess an HVAC license in the state, county, or city jurisdiction in which work will be performed
  • Must possess EPA Universal certification credentials
  • Must have refrigeration/HVAC trade or vocational certification
  • Three (3) years of HVAC experience are required
  • ABM work truck provided
Preferred Qualifications
  • Three (3) years of HVAC experience is preferred
