Senior Field Coordinator

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Field Coordinator to join our team at Vigo County, Indiana. As a key member of our Community Corrections department, you will be responsible for overseeing the Field Coordinator program, ensuring the effective implementation of community-based corrections programs, and providing supervision and support to program participants.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and supervise program participants, ensuring compliance with program rules and regulations.
  • Provide guidance and support to program participants, including training and education on program requirements and expectations.
  • Collaborate with other departments and agencies to ensure effective program implementation and coordination.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community stakeholders, including law enforcement, social service agencies, and treatment centers.
  • Conduct regular home and employment visits to monitor participant compliance and provide support as needed.
  • Administer random alcohol and drug testing and maintain records of violations.
  • Provide testimony in legal proceedings as necessary.
Requirements
  • Associate Degree from an accredited college or university in criminal justice, social work, behavioral sciences, or related discipline.
  • At least 21 years of age.
  • Ability to meet all Department hiring requirements, including passage of a drug test.
  • Possession of or ability to obtain required certifications and training, including First Responder/CPR and Indiana Risk Assessment System certifications.
Working Conditions

The incumbent will perform duties in a standard office environment, in a vehicle, and in the field. Regular duties involve sitting for long periods, sitting/walking at will, standing/walking for long periods, walking up/down flights of stairs, lifting/carrying/pushing/pulling objects, reaching, bending, crouching/kneeling, close/far vision, color/depth perception, keyboarding, handling/grasping/fingering objects, speaking clearly, hearing sounds/communication, driving, and exposure to varying weather conditions.
