Perioperative Nurse Training Program

This comprehensive training program is designed for registered nurses who want to transition into the challenging specialty of Operating Room nursing. The program combines a standardized, evidence-based online curriculum with hands-on skills labs and a clinical practicum.

As a participant, you will work alongside an experienced Operating Room staff nurse preceptor, sharing in the challenges and rewards of our facility while enjoying personal growth and skills advancement. Peer support, nurturing, and continuous feedback will be provided throughout the experience.

Program Requirements:

  • Open to both external and internal Registered Nurses
  • Experienced and new grads are welcome to apply
  • Candidates must demonstrate a genuine desire to enter the surgical nursing field and complete at least a 4 hour shadowing experience in surgery prior to acceptance
  • External candidates who are ASN prepared must be willing to enroll in a BSN program within a year and complete within 5 years

After successful completion of the program, you will be offered a full-time position.
