About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Advisor to join our team at H&R Block. As a Tax Advisor, you will be responsible for providing tax preparation, tax audit support, and tax planning services to our clients year-round.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to understand their tax and business needs.
  • Provide expert tax advice and guidance to clients on tax planning, audit support, and other tax-related matters.
  • Conduct tax interviews with clients face-to-face and virtually using video conferencing, phone, chat, and email.
  • Identify opportunities to grow business and increase client retention by offering additional products and services.
  • Stay up-to-date with tax laws, regulations, and industry developments to provide the highest level of service to clients.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of tax experience, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience completing individual tax returns, tax planning, and audit support.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with clients and colleagues effectively.
  • Ability to work in a virtual environment using video conferencing and chat tools.
  • Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment 1 or equivalent.
  • Must complete continuing education requirements and meet all other IRS and applicable state requirements.
