At H&R Block, we're seeking a highly skilled Tax Advisor to join our team as a Block Advisors Tax Advisor. As a Tax Advisor, you will be responsible for providing tax preparation, tax audit support, and tax planning services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to understand their tax needs and provide personalized service.
  • Conduct tax interviews with clients to gather information and provide tax planning advice.
  • Prepare and review tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with tax laws and regulations.
  • Provide tax audit support and representation to clients.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in tax laws and regulations, and apply this knowledge to provide expert advice to clients.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of tax experience, preferably in a public accounting firm or tax consulting firm.
  • Experience completing individual tax returns, including complex tax returns.
  • Tax planning and audit support experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with clients of diverse backgrounds and tax situations.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment or equivalent.
  • Must complete continuing education requirements and meet all other IRS and applicable state requirements.
