Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer Specialist to join our team at Fisica, Inc. The ideal candidate will have proficient knowledge of mechanical engineering principles and practical experience in project management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, layout, testing, and evaluation of mechanical and electro-mechanical devices or systems
  • Prepare design specifications, analysis, and recommendations for presentation and approval
  • Analyze mechanical requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints
  • Investigate solutions to product or process problems
  • Conduct investigations involving the origination or modification of material, component, or process specifications or requirements
  • Perform product development activities, including drawing board layout and interpretation/implementation of customer specifications and documentation requirements
Requirements
  • Proficient knowledge of mechanical engineering principles
  • Practical experience in project management
  • Bachelor's Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience
  • Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience
  • In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience
  • Proven CAD experience, particularly in SolidWorks/PDM
  • Proficiency in ASME Y14.5M-1994 and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) standards
  • The ability to obtain a future Security Clearance is required for the role
Preferred Skills
  • Analysis experience in ANSYS Mechanical, SolidWorks Flow, and SolidWorks Simulation
  • CAD experience in Creo and AutoCAD
  • Travel up to 10% of the time may be required

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in California is $81,500-151,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. Fisica, Inc. also offers a variety of benefits, including health and disability insurance, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, EAP, education assistance, parental leave, paid time off, and company-paid holidays.

The work schedule is 9/80, with employees working 9 out of every 14 days, totaling 80 hours worked, and having every other Friday off.
