Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Faculty member to teach History courses at Marion Technical College. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing instruction, maintaining accurate academic records, and working collaboratively with the department dean and other faculty members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach approved History courses using applied learning methods and maintain accurate records of student performance.
  • Respond to student inquiries and maintain confidentiality in accordance with College and FERPA policies.
  • Work collaboratively with other faculty members and the administration to carry out instructional procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records of grades, attendance, and academic performance of students.
  • Attend organizational meetings and training sessions as required.
Qualifications
  • Master's degree in History or a related discipline required.
  • Higher education teaching experience preferred.
  • Excellent English, communication, and writing skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs and strong computer skills.
  • Ability to work independently and complete projects with minimal direction.
Additional Requirements
  • Valid driver's license or dependable transportation required.
  • Ability to teach in a variety of learning environments, including web-based and off-campus sites.
  • Flexibility to meet academic classroom schedules and off-campus sites.
