About the Role:

WEG Electric Corp. is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer II to promote, implement, and monitor initiatives for quality assurance compliance and best practices. This role will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement and reduce costs.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Implement lessons learned from issues reported on the shop floor.
  • Use investigative techniques and perform root cause analysis to address complex problems and deploy corrective actions.
  • Develop and deploy quality-related training programs and educate employees on company and ISO 9001 requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Coordinate and perform internal audits.
  • Monitor and report on quality control key performance indicators and corrective actions.
  • Interface with Engineering, Service, Process, and Production departments to optimize processes and reduce costs.
  • Promote the QMS and safety initiatives.
  • Responsible for end-to-end technical customer complaints.
  • Manage the Quality Index System - QIS.
  • Manage incoming inspection and final test control plans in SAP.
  • Manage the QM module in SAP.
  • Evaluate component deviations from the quality standpoint.
Requirements:
  • Engineering degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 standard required. Knowledge of ISO 19011 preferred.
  • Root cause analysis and other investigative techniques, including statistics required.
  • Experience with SAP environment required.
  • Knowledge of Automation products required. Knowledge of WEG Automation products and UL requirements a plus.
  • Knowledge of Portuguese and/or Spanish a plus.
  • Knowledge of relevant requirements and industry standards.
