This position entails regular, proactive content creation and management of external communication platforms, including the organization’s website, social media channels, and email outreach. This role is perfect for an individual eager to take charge of daily communications tasks and drive content generation for a prominent impact investing organization with a diverse array of offerings.
Key Responsibilities:Content Development and Management:
- Collaborate independently and with various teams and partners to consistently generate relevant, original, high-quality content that effectively communicates the organization’s narrative in an engaging and precise manner, tailored to each distribution channel;
- Draft copy for organizational materials and, as necessary, coordinate with external PR agencies, designers, videographers, web developers, and other professionals to produce digital and print resources;
- Establish, maintain, and organize digital assets such as photo and video libraries, presentation templates, infographics, and more.
Digital Media Management:
- Oversee our digital media assets and platforms to expand our audience, enhance reach, and boost digital engagement to meet our strategic objectives. This includes primary responsibility for the website, email communications, blog, and social media channels;
- Evaluate and analyze performance metrics to determine ROI based on key performance indicators (KPIs). Assess performance against KPIs and convert qualitative data into actionable recommendations for refining communication strategies moving forward;
Public Relations Support:
- Assist in executing the organization’s public relations strategy in collaboration with our external PR agency;
- Monitor all media coverage and highlight these mentions through our external communications as appropriate;
- Contribute to the development and editing of press releases.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the events calendar and provide support for staff attending events;
- Manage the general communications inbox;
- Supervise interns as required.
The ideal candidate will possess strong writing and editing capabilities, familiarity with both traditional and digital media, basic design skills, and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively across multiple teams and projects, while producing high-quality content efficiently.
- Highly organized with a keen attention to detail and a results-driven mindset;
- Exceptional editing and writing abilities;
- Experience and/or interest in impact investing;
- Strong analytical skills with the capacity to interpret data and provide insightful recommendations;
- Experience in creating, sourcing, and managing content development and publication;
- Proficiency in utilizing communication tools and platforms, including LinkedIn and news aggregator platforms; working knowledge of SEO principles, including keyword research and Google Analytics.
