Job Summary:

Leidos is seeking a Jr. Communications Specialist/Tech Writer to support an Intelligence Community (IC) program in McLean, VA. The successful candidate will have a strong background in technical writing and communication, with experience in editing and proofreading complex documents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support Government staff in the development, preparation, production, coordination, and editing of a range of products, including finished intelligence products, strategy and planning documents, talking points, and speeches.
  • Prepare assignments based on input from subject matter experts.
  • Mentor and train junior staff.
  • Utilize tools such as Adobe Creative Cloud suite to create compelling content.
  • Provide support by researching, proofreading, editing, creating, writing, processing, revising, formatting, providing quality checks, and coordinating the composition of products for hardcopy and electronic publication, as well as dissemination on multiple platforms.
Requirements:
  • BA/BS and 3+ years of experience or no degree and 9 years of experience.
  • TS/SCI with Polygraph level clearance is required.
