Position Summary
The Fraud Prevention Analyst plays a crucial role in analyzing, researching, and mitigating fraudulent ecommerce activities while minimizing related losses.
Reporting directly to the Director of Fraud Management, this position will involve assisting in the deployment of fraud detection systems, tools, and processes, as well as formulating new fraud rules based on identified risk factors.
Key Responsibilities
1. Analyze ecommerce and retail transactions to investigate suspicious orders for potential fraud patterns.
2. Communicate findings regarding fraud trends to management.
3. Propose solutions to enhance online retail processes and reduce fraud risks.
4. Collaborate with retail management to support store investigations.
5. Conduct ad hoc analysis of chargeback data to identify fraud patterns.
6. Proactively research and investigate fraud and risk management trends within the industry to establish a top-tier fraud management strategy for the Mobile Business.
7. Support audits and perform ad-hoc analysis, data extractions, and table creations utilizing SQL.
8. Assist in the development of standardized reporting, dashboards, and charts for management and partners across the organization.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
- 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in data analytics.
- Proficient SQL skills for data extraction and analysis.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Familiarity with credit bureau and fraud detection tools.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and proactive.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
