Our mission is to offer valuable resources and engaging opportunities to residents in managed communities, helping them thrive and connect.
Position Overview:Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee children, youth, and elderly individuals effectively. Engage with participants of all ages, ensuring their safety and well-being while promoting a positive and inclusive environment.
- Show respect and friendliness toward individuals from diverse backgrounds. Communicate effectively with parents and community members, including those who speak different languages.
- Encourage participants to actively engage in CSF programs. Understand and implement program activities and objectives and conduct grade school assessments as required.
- Accurately complete daily reports. Manage sign-in and sign-out procedures. Oversee food distribution at the site, including grocery handouts.
- Redirect youth behavior constructively. Address and resolve any issues or conflicts that arise, maintaining a supportive and respectful atmosphere.
Exhibit strong leadership skills, guiding and motivating both participants and fellow staff. Provide direction and support to ensure smooth operations in various community center settings.

Qualifications:
- Experience: Previous experience in a supervisory role, particularly with children and youth, is preferred. Experience working in diverse communities is highly valued.
- Skills: Strong leadership abilities. Effective communication skills, including the ability to interact with individuals from various cultural and all backgrounds.
- Competency: Ability to read, write, and perform administrative tasks. Capable of understanding and implementing community center programs.
- Flexibility: Availability to work on an on-call basis with flexible hours. Must be adaptable and responsive to varying needs and schedules.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Additional education or training related to youth services or community work is a plus.
Community Services Foundation (CSF) provides the training and oversight of programs and services offered in managed housing community centers throughout the metropolitan Washington DC area. CSF coordinates partnerships that provide programs and services that have been identified by the owner and residents. CSF youth programs offer afterschool and summer enrichment activities that include homework assistance; STEAM (science technology, engineering, arts and math) tutoring, digital literacy character education, health and wellness, journaling and public speaking, as well as services tailored to meet the needs of residents. CSF also offers adult programs that range from job readiness to social recreational activities.
