Job DescriptionWe are seeking a compassionate and empathetic Behavior Technician to join our team. As a Behavior Technician, you will work closely with our experienced clinical staff to provide high-quality care to children with autism in a 1:1 setting. Your primary responsibilities will include teaching and nurturing behavioral, social, communication, and daily living skills, following treatment plans developed by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs), and accurately recording progress in our data collection system.
Responsibilities- Teach and nurture behavioral, social, communication, and daily living skills in a 1:1 setting to children with autism.
- Follow treatment plans developed by BCBAs to increase communication, self-help, social, and play skills.
- Relay information on progress to BCBAs to keep them informed and assist with BCBA assessments.
- Accurately record behavior analysis and progress in our data collection system.
- Responsible for clocking in, submitting session notes, and clocking out to align with strict ABA and Insurance provider regulations.
- Help maintain a safe and organized work environment.
- Assist with lunch breaks, bathroom breaks, and diaper changing as needed.
- Participate in projects and tasks as directed by Site Directors and Clinical Supervisors.
- Communicate effectively with families while maintaining professional boundaries.
- Consistent availability from Monday through Friday.
- Must be at least 18-years-old with a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- RBT/CBT certification preferred; must obtain within 60 days of employment (MeBe will provide training).
- Background in child care, teaching, counseling, or babysitting preferred.
- Ability to frequently bend, lift (up to 50 lbs), squat, sit, stand, and/or run.
- Previous training in First Aid and CPR preferred.
- Ability to pass a background check.
- Ability to work with computers.
