Job Overview
The Management Science Department at the Darla Moore School of Business, University of South Carolina, is seeking applications for two open rank tenure-track faculty roles within the Operations and Supply Chain Management sector.
Our tenure-track faculty are anticipated to produce significant empirical research aimed at top-tier journals and to exhibit excellence in both graduate and undergraduate instruction.
The teaching duties for these roles may encompass courses in operations management and/or business analytics.
Our department boasts a dynamic doctoral program, and a key expectation for these positions is to contribute to the advancement of our PhD candidates.
Salary and compensation are highly competitive and will be aligned with experience and accomplishments. All faculty recruitment is contingent upon the availability of funding.
The Operations and Supply Chain (OSC) group at the Moore School is recognized for its research contributions to leading OSC journals.
Our undergraduate and graduate programs have been ranked 3rd and 6th, respectively, in the latest Gartner Research ranking of the Top 25 North American Supply Chain programs.
The Department hosts an active Operations and Supply Chain Center, which fosters collaboration with industry and enhances practice-oriented pedagogical and scholarly research.
Center partners include notable organizations such as Coca-Cola Bottling Consolidated, Continental Tire, McLeod Health, Siemens, Sonoco Products Company, and Truist Bank, among others.
Furthermore, the Management Science Department plays a crucial role in the Moore School's Center for Applied Business Analytics, which collaborates with local and state business partners to integrate real-world analytics challenges into both faculty and student teaching and research initiatives.

Required Qualifications
Applicants for these positions at the rank of Assistant Professor must possess a PhD or DBA in Operations Management/Supply Chain Management or a closely related discipline by the employment start date, along with expertise in conducting empirical research.
Applicants for the rank of Associate Professor or full Professor must also have the requisite years of academic experience in accordance with academic policy and a proven record of excellence in research and teaching.
