Survey Crew Chief

Farnsworth Group, a leading engineering, architecture, and surveying firm, is seeking a highly skilled Survey Crew Chief to join our team. As a Survey Crew Chief, you will be responsible for leading a team of surveyors in the performance of land surveys, boundary research, and construction layout.

• Lead a team of surveyors in the performance of ALTA/NSPS land title surveys, boundary research, and construction layout.
• Conduct topographic surveys of small sites to large farm surveys using ATVs.
• Perform construction layout for site development, commercial, retail, residential, industrial, and transportation projects.
• Conduct as-built pipeline surveys and 3D scanning, UAV, and drone surveys.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of property survey experience, including ALTA and Section Line Surveys.
• Experience with Trimble GPS, Total Station, and Data Collectors.
• Ability to organize field notes and read construction plans.
• Experience performing boundary research preferred.
• Ability to execute field staking and possess strong math skills.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel 50-60% required for this position.

• Oil and gas pipeline experience.
• DOT experience.
