Overview:

Reports To: Director of Safety & Security, Front Office Manager, Rooms Management

Supervises: N/A

Objective: To monitor and secure hotel facilities to uphold safety standards, enforce regulations, and ensure compliance with relevant laws.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct regular inspections of hotel lobbies, hallways, and communal areas, collaborating with management, engaging with guests and staff, and questioning individuals to identify violations, investigate incidents, complaints, thefts, vandalism, etc.
  2. Survey public spaces to identify fire hazards, unsafe conditions, and malfunctioning safety equipment.
  3. Issue warnings or remove disruptive individuals and advise careless patrons.
  4. Provide assistance to individuals involved in accidents and document incidents.
  5. Alert personnel regarding the presence of individuals with questionable backgrounds.
  6. Support management and law enforcement during emergency situations.
  7. May enter and inspect guest rooms suspected of non-payment to verify suspicions and recover any remaining personal belongings.
  8. Oversee security systems from the control center.
  9. Perform additional tasks as assigned.
Essential Skills:
  1. Ability to think clearly and respond swiftly in emergencies.
  2. Capable of learning and applying complex rules and procedures.
  3. Proficient in using security equipment effectively.
  4. Ability to draw conclusions based on factual information and personal judgment.

Qualifications:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent

Experience: None required

Licenses/Certifications: Security Officer certification preferred

Physical Requirements:

Ability to communicate effectively in English. Adequate vision for close and distant tasks. Frequent lifting/carrying of up to 25 lbs. Regular use of manual dexterity and gross motor skills, with frequent engagement of bimanual dexterity and fine motor skills. Continuous work in standard office conditions and close proximity to others.

Compensation:

$20.00/hour
