OVERVIEW:
Talascend is currently seeking a Production Assembler for a contract opportunity. In this role, you will be responsible for producing high-quality products and services, ensuring that all items meet customer specifications and quality standards. You will oversee your designated work area to guarantee safe and efficient operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Follow directions accurately and interpret blueprints and schematics.
2. Set up and modify equipment for various assembly tasks.
3. Identify and use appropriate materials, including plumbing or piping for pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
4. Attach specified motors and gearboxes to drive components.
5. Conduct tests on each assembly to verify proper fit and functionality.
6. Inspect components using precision measuring tools.
7. Maintain accurate records of assembly time for each build.
8. Document Quality Management System (QMS) procedures and departmental protocols.
9. Keep the work area clean and organized.
10. Adhere to all safety standards and plant regulations.
11. Transfer assemblies to the appropriate department for the next production phase.
12. Utilize measuring tools such as tape measures, calipers, squares, micrometers, and protractors.
13. Perform general maintenance on tools and equipment.
14. Operate forklifts, scissor lifts, and other lifting devices safely.
15. Undertake additional duties as assigned.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Technical education is advantageous.
- Proficiency in computer usage.
- Capability to meet the physical demands of the role, including standing, bending, pulling, pushing, climbing, and lifting at least 40 pounds.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in industrial assembly.
- At least 1 year of experience in a similar role.
- Mechanical aptitude along with mathematical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Familiarity with hand tools and their proper usage.
- Strong work ethic, analytical abilities, and attention to detail.
- Capacity to collaborate with team members and work independently.
- Effective communication skills to convey information clearly and accurately.
