Solar Project Manager

Moss is a leading national construction firm providing innovative solutions for award-winning projects. As a Solar Project Manager, you will be the primary on-site administrative leader responsible for ensuring all work complies with solar project requirements, including quality, schedule, and budget.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage preconstruction services, including reviewing owner expectations and criteria, and overseeing the entire preconstruction process.
- Negotiate owner contracts, coordinate with design teams, and establish programs to comply with MBE requirements.
- Identify key subcontractors, promote partnering sessions, investigate sites, and identify long-lead items.
- Develop bid packages, schedules, and site utilization plans, conduct pre-bid conferences, and provide value engineering ideas.
- Manage project financials, including developing GMP or Lump Sum contracts, maintaining continuous knowledge of jobsite expenditures, and analyzing financial ability of subcontractors.
- Develop and maintain financial reports, set up project schedules of values, prepare and process monthly owner requisitions, and manage change order processes.
- Study owner contracts, develop scopes of work, review budgets and scopes with estimating, develop purchasing schedules, obtain insurance and bonds, and mobilize on-site.
- Prepare and distribute detailed project schedules, prepare resource-loaded schedules, develop look-ahead schedules, recruit jobsite staff, enforce company policies, and provide professional development of staff.
- Administer document control RFI processes, prepare monthly reports, implement and report MBE programs, develop and implement crisis management plans, maintain project management computer systems, and obtain home office approvals for waivers of policy.
- Manage field operations, conduct trade preconstruction meetings, coordinate subs, vendors, and permit inspections, and maintain sub relationships.
- Implement safety and QC programs, manage daily clean-up and rental equipment, perform daily jobsite walks, promote client relations, and interact regularly with owners.
- Manage project closeout and post-construction services, obtain and deliver warranties, transfer attic stock, demobilize field operations, collect final payments, and close out subcontracts.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 4+ years of experience as a Project Manager within the Solar/EPC construction industry.
- Strong computer skills, including familiarity with construction project management applications.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, required to interface directly with owners' representatives, A/E teams, building departments, and other team members.
- Strong leadership skills, including coaching, mentoring, and the ability to build and maintain motivated teams.
- Highly developed project management finance skills.
