Pharmacy Technician

As a Pharmacy Technician at Walgreens, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our pharmacy department. Key Responsibilities
- Assist the pharmacist in the performance of pharmacy duties, including the preparation and dispensing of medications, and the maintenance of accurate records.
- Provide exceptional customer service, engaging with patients and customers to understand their needs and preferences, and responding to their inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Operate pharmacy systems, including the use of computer software and hardware, to process prescriptions, manage inventory, and maintain accurate records.
- Participate in ongoing training and education to maintain and enhance your skills and knowledge, and to stay up-to-date with the latest developments in pharmacy practice and technology.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including pharmacists, nurses, and physicians, to provide comprehensive patient care and to promote health and wellness in the community.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
- Pharmacy technician certification or registration required; PTCB certification preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, customers, and healthcare professionals.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Basic computer skills, with the ability to learn and operate pharmacy software and hardware.
