Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled Patient Access Representative to join our team at Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing complete and accurate patient scheduling, registration, insurance verification, ordering of tests, and coordination of applicable screening, diagnostic, physician office, and outpatient hospital services.

About the Job:

  • This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week.
  • The shift hours range from 7 A.M. to 8:45 A.M.
  • The successful candidate must be able to perform under stress when confronted with emergency or critical situations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform complete and accurate patient registration.
  • Provide excellent customer service to patients and their families.
  • Verify patient, guarantor, coverage, and hospital account information.
  • Order and coordinate tests and procedures as needed.

Requirements:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • One year of clerical, customer service, or administrative support experience in a highly customer-oriented organization.
  • Basic keyboarding and personal computer use skills.
