LAUNCH Technical Workforce Solutions is seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing repairs and preventative maintenance checks and services on medium to heavy duty trucks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform repairs and preventative maintenance checks and services on medium to heavy duty trucks.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, air, and hydraulic systems.
  • Prepare tractor/trailers and assigned equipment for operation.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on tools, repair parts, equipment, and assigned vehicles.
  • Adjust operating mechanisms.
  • Determine the extent of corrective action and repair parts required to correct malfunctions.
  • Replace engine components and accessories.
  • Responsible for possessing and using necessary hand tools for assigned tasks.
  • Capable of operating power tools and equipment.
  • Obtain replacement parts and turn in unserviceable parts to the part section while adhering to policies and required procedures.
  • Read, understand, and apply information contained in company maintenance manuals, technical manuals, policies, and common schematic diagrams.
  • Know and apply required company safety procedures.
  • Complete applicable maintenance forms and records.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or other designated authority.

Requirements:

  • Equivalent of a high school diploma or GED.
  • 2+ years of related maintenance and repair on medium/heavy duty trucks.
  • Must have own steel toe boots.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Must be able to pass a DOT drug test and DOT physical.
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
