Job Title: Certified Surgical Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Surgical Technician to join our team at Specialty Medical Staffing. As a key member of our surgical team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of surgical procedures.

Job Summary:

The Certified Surgical Technician will work closely with surgeons, anesthesia personnel, and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and maintain surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies
  • Assist surgeons and other healthcare professionals during surgical procedures
  • Monitor and maintain aseptic technique to prevent infection
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
  • Participate in performance improvement activities to enhance patient care and safety
Requirements:
  • Technical Diploma in Surgical Technology or related field
  • Certification by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 2-3 years of experience as a Surgical Technologist
  • Experience in an outpatient surgery center or hospital setting
  • Knowledge of surgical procedures and instrumentation
