The integration of these innovations with traditional optoelectronics has led to the creation of an optical computing system that exceeds existing capabilities and future expectations.

As Neurophos progresses through its initial funding phase, the organization is looking to expand its workforce to further enhance its Optical Computing Platform.

Position Overview: We are seeking a proficient Silicon Photonics Technical Lead to spearhead the design, enhancement, and architecture of silicon photonic chips tailored for the Neurophos hardware platform. The selected candidate will engage in all phases of development, from initial concept through to testing, and will work closely with diverse engineering teams to ensure smooth integration while coordinating with fabrication partners to guarantee manufacturability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Silicon Photonic Design: Create and layout silicon photonic components utilizing industry-standard tools.
  • Simulation and Optimization: Evaluate device performance through thorough simulations.
  • Characterization and Testing: Establish testing protocols and characterize photonic devices.
  • High-Level Hardware Design: Collaborate on high-level hardware design to fulfill project specifications.
  • Fabrication Development: Ensure successful manufacturability in partnership with fabrication entities.
  • Research and Development: Remain informed on the latest advancements in silicon photonics and contribute to ongoing research initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Comprehensive experience in silicon photonics from initial concept to packaging.
  • Proficient in industry-standard design tools and software development.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
