The ideal candidate will excel in a matrixed environment that spans multiple countries and time zones.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead the validation of power functionality and targets, collaborating with manufacturing and customer engineering to facilitate production.
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of existing and emerging power features for AMD products.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Guide and mentor junior team members through the planning and execution phases of post-silicon power optimization initiatives.
  • Work with board engineering to create custom development platforms for power measurement, staying updated on the latest measurement techniques and equipment.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Proven technical leadership in large-scale post-silicon validation projects.
  • Hands-on experience with CPU, APU, or GPU power management architecture and implementation.
  • Proficiency in data analysis using tools such as Excel, Python, PowerBI, R, Matlab, or similar.
  • Industry experience in x86, ARM, or GPU hardware or firmware development.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and deliver substantial cross-functional technical projects.
  • Experience in a dynamic, matrixed, and multi-site technical organization.

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

  • Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.

At AMD, your base salary is just one component of your total rewards package. Your compensation will reflect your skills, qualifications, experience, and location within the hiring range for the position. You may qualify for incentives based on your role, such as an annual bonus or sales incentive.
