Job Summary

Universal Health Services is seeking a dynamic Behavioral Health Executive to lead the day-to-day operations of our Palo Verde Hospital. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for directing the hospital's clinical and non-clinical departments, ensuring high-quality care, sound fiscal operations, and compliance with regulatory agencies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategies to achieve hospital quality metrics and accreditation standards.
  • Recruit and manage physicians and staff, coordinate medical staff participation in new hospital ventures, and develop new areas of medical care.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with local industry, government, and healthcare providers.
  • Ensure timely submission of financial and operational reviews, contribute to corporate-wide strategic planning efforts, and communicate operational circumstances to supervisors.
  • Achieve budgeted financial objectives and effectively manage contract negotiations with commercial payors.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree required, Master's Degree preferred.
  • Current experience as a behavioral executive, CEO, or director of a large acute care facility with a large psych department.
  • Working knowledge of behavioral health management practices, clinical operations, and state and federal regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to travel a minimum of 10% of the time.
