Each role within our organization plays a vital part in our success through dedication, responsiveness, and a focus on solutions. MMT INC is currently expanding and seeks a technical service professional to assist with custom-engineered machinery. This position will report directly to the Technical Service Manager and offers significant growth opportunities. The sectors we serve include Tier 1 and Tier 2 Automotive, Aerospace, and Medical Devices within a high-mix, low-volume manufacturing framework.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide exceptional service to clients by troubleshooting, testing, installing, training, and maintaining high-precision mechanical systems. Support customer production operations effectively.

Core Duties:
  • Repair machinery and products by scheduling service calls; demonstrating equipment; presenting alternatives; and recommending effective solutions.
  • Install systems by procuring and delivering components; setting up equipment; programming systems; and conducting acceptance tests.
  • Test and validate new machinery upon completion of production.
  • Engage with clients to facilitate factory acceptance testing.
  • Travel required: less than 50% globally.
  • Program and troubleshoot newly developed machines.
  • Contribute to process development by applying machinery to meet customer specifications.
  • Maintain systems and products by addressing issues; performing tests; diagnosing faults; and executing repairs.
  • Document system configurations, upgrades, and repairs to maintain accurate records.
  • Ensure installation and testing equipment are operational by adhering to operating procedures; troubleshooting failures; managing supplies; conducting preventive maintenance; and coordinating repairs.
  • Enhance job knowledge through re-certification; engaging in educational opportunities; and reviewing professional literature.
  • Flexibility to cross-train between various sites is expected.
Skills and Qualifications: Strong customer service orientation, ability to identify and fulfill customer needs, technical proficiency, administrative skills, problem-solving capabilities, effective presentation of technical information, reliability, meticulousness, attention to detail, familiarity with Windows Operating Systems, mechanical aptitude, understanding of basic electrical systems, motion control systems, and automation. Knowledge of ERP systems is also beneficial.

Minimum Requirements:
  • 1 - 3 years of relevant experience preferred.
  • A degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is required.
  • Experience with CNC or machine controls is preferred.
