Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct support and guidance to Community Habilitation Specialists in a community setting, promoting success and independence.
  • Assist the Community Habilitation Program Director in the day-to-day operations of the program, ensuring compliance with OPWDD regulations and Central New York Quest's Mission.
  • Conduct intakes and meet & greets with individuals and their families, ensuring a smooth transition into the program.
  • Attend Life Plan and treatment team meetings, providing input and guidance as needed.
  • Coordinate and facilitate social groups and specialized activities, promoting socialization and skill-building.
  • Complete staff observations and integrity checks, ensuring high-quality services.
  • Shadow and train new staff, ensuring they are equipped to provide excellent support.
  • Oversee staff schedules, making edits as needed to ensure efficient program operations.
  • Complete compliance audits and documentation, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Oversee staff training, ensuring they meet the requirements for new employee orientation, DSP core competency, and quarterly meetings.
  • Meet with Direct Support Professionals for scheduled supervision, providing guidance and support.
  • Communicate regularly with Managers of Service and individuals served, ensuring an efficient and effective program.
  • Meet with the Community Habilitation Program Director on a regular basis, discussing program operations and goals.
  • Ensure adherence to all applicable OPWDD regulations and Central New York Quest's Mission.
Requirements:
  • At least 2 years' experience as a Direct Support Professional (DSP) working directly with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
  • At least 1 year of supervisory experience.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Reliable transportation and the ability to travel as needed to surrounding counties for client meetings.
  • High School diploma.

Full Time: 35 hours per week. Pay Rate: $20 per hour. This is an in-office work location in Utica, NY, and requires travel to the Utica-Rome and surrounding area.
