About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Simulation Center Coordinator to join our team at Adventist Health. As a key member of our simulation team, you will play a critical role in the implementation of simulation activities in the training of healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Simulation Activity Implementation: Assist in the development and implementation of simulation activities to enhance the training of healthcare professionals.
  • Equipment and Supply Management: Manage the daily operations of simulation equipment and supplies, ensuring they are properly maintained and available for use.
  • Training and Education: Coordinate the training of staff, physicians, and other customers on the use of simulation equipment and principles of simulation learning.
  • Community Partnerships: Facilitate partnerships with community organizations to integrate inter-professional simulation activities and promote simulation-based education.
  • Data Analysis: Collect and analyze data to evaluate the utilization of resources and student learning outcomes, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Special Projects: Assist with special projects and initiatives related to simulation-based education, including business development and income-generating projects.
  • Supervision: Supervise technicians within the simulation department, ensuring they have the necessary resources and support to perform their duties effectively.
Requirements
  • Education and Work Experience: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience; Master's Degree preferred; five years' healthcare experience preferred.
  • Licenses/Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association; Hospital Fire and Life Safety (HLFS) certification; Prevention and Management of Violent Behavior (PVMB) or Techniques for Effective Aggression Management (TEAM) or Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification.
