Career Advancement Opportunities
Key Responsibilities:
Diagnoses vehicles in accordance with the appropriate level of certifications and experience.
Executes tasks as outlined on the Multi-point Inspection and/or Repair Order with precision and efficiency.
Handles complex and heavy-duty repairs.
Communicates technical diagnoses and necessary repairs to non-technical individuals, which may include management and customers.
Recommends essential services to maintain the customer's vehicle in optimal condition; accurately documents all recommendations in the customer file.
Adheres to all safety protocols and reports any concerns to the direct supervisor.
Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends as required. Additional duties may be assigned by the direct supervisor.

Qualifications:
Prior experience as an automotive technician or mechanic is required.
ASE certifications may substitute for experience.
Proficient in the use of computerized diagnostic equipment.
Valid Driver's License in the state of employment (out-of-state licenses must be transferred within 30 days of hire).
Possession of a State Inspector License or the ability to obtain one within 30 days of hire (where applicable).
High School Diploma or equivalent; Technical School experience is preferred.
Working Conditions:
Physical Demands:
The Senior Automotive Technician will encounter moderate to loud noises, dust, exhaust fumes, lubricants, petroleum products, vapors, caustic materials, and other hazardous and non-hazardous substances.
The temperature in the work environment may vary and could include extreme heat and/or cold depending on external conditions.
The use of safety goggles or other personal protective equipment may be necessary when working in these environments.The Senior Automotive Technician must meet the following physical requirements:
Stand for up to eight hours per day in the shop and navigate various areas of the building.
Bend, stoop, kneel, and crouch regularly throughout the day; must have full range of motion with arms and hands and be able to feel, handle, or manipulate objects frequently.
Lift and/or move up to 10 pounds regularly, and lift and/or move up to 70 pounds frequently.
Communicate effectively with customers and shop personnel.
Vision sufficient to detect color, depth, and re-focus.
