Prokatchers is currently seeking a Travel Nurse RN specializing in Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) for an exciting travel nursing opportunity.

Compensation: $2,891.00 per week
Medical Specialty: Cardiovascular ICU
Standard Shift: Nights, 36 hours/week
Weekly Schedule: 3 shifts of 12 hours each

Job Summary:

This unit is dedicated to providing intensive and comprehensive care for patients with critical conditions before and after surgical procedures. The role involves delivering coordinated nursing care to patients or assigned groups, adhering to established care standards and the nursing process.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Gather pertinent data related to the patient's health or situation.
  • Analyze assessment data to determine diagnoses and care needs.
  • Develop and implement care plans that outline interventions to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Coordinate care delivery and employ strategies to promote health and safety.
  • Evaluate progress towards achieving patient outcomes.
  • Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure safe and effective care.
  • Provide educational opportunities for patients and family members.
  • Participate in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care.
  • Delegate tasks appropriately and coordinate the duties of healthcare team members.
  • Perform additional job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

Education: Associate's Degree in Nursing (ASN) is required.
Licenses/Certifications: Current California State Registered Nurse (RN) license is mandatory. CPR or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification is also necessary.
