Prokatchers is currently seeking a skilled travel nurse RN specializing in Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) for an exciting travel nursing opportunity.

Compensation: $2,891.00 per week
Medical Specialty: Cardiovascular ICU
Standard Shift: Nights, 36 hours/week
Weekly Schedule: 3 shifts of 12 hours each

Job Summary:

This unit is dedicated to providing intensive and comprehensive care for patients with critical conditions, particularly pre- and post-surgery. The role involves delivering coordinated nursing care to patients or assigned groups, adhering to established care standards and nursing processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Gather relevant health data related to patients' conditions.
  • Analyze assessment data to determine diagnoses and care requirements.
  • Formulate a care plan that prescribes necessary interventions.
  • Implement the care plan, coordinating delivery and promoting a safe health environment.
  • Evaluate progress towards achieving health outcomes.
  • Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure safe and effective care.
  • Provide educational opportunities for patients and their families.
  • Participate in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care.
  • Delegate tasks appropriately among healthcare team members.
  • Perform additional job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

Education: Associate's Degree in Nursing (ASN) is required.
Licenses/Certifications: Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in California is mandatory. Certifications in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or Basic Life Support (BLS) are required, along with Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
